Blayney Gilet Bark

Lovely quality and will keep me warm in the cooler months. Ordered a medium and it fit perfectly. Love it.

Well-designed, and should be a useful item of clothing once the weather gets a bit colder. I find the sizing of this sort of item hard to guess, though. Given that Gilets are generally going to be worn over 2 or 3 inner layers (such as a T-shirt or vest, a shirt and a thick jumper) but are not generally supposed to be worn as loosely as normal overcoats, is the sizing (i.e. S, M, L, etc., or the numerical ranges these are supposed to correspond to) supposed to take account of this and correspond to the size of shirt or top you would normally order, or do they simply indicate the size of the product (in which case most people would need to order one about a size bigger than their normal shirt size)? If (for example) I normally find that I fit into M size Weird Fish shirts, would an M size Gilet be about right, or should I go up to an L size to allow it to go over the likely inner layers I'd be wearing? (In the end, "L" was out-of-stock anyway, so I ordered an "M", and found it to be slightly too tight when worn over the sort of inner layers I'll probably be wearing it over on a cold day...)

Excellent quality garment, superb, almost tailored fit, warm without being too thick & bulky.

I have had a Black version of this for quite a few years now, when I dug it out for the Autumn I thought it was time for new one. Luckily, it was on special offer when I bouight it. They have modified it a little, much bigger, better pockets on the outside and a nice Zip up phone pocket on the inside, as well as another larger pocket. If, like me, you don't really want to be "fuly enclosed" in a coat or jacket these are really a no-brainer. Very warm and comfortable and look really good. I really like the "Bark" colour too. Nicer than the Black. I got mine for a good price, I would say they are a little pricey when they are full price, but a bargain when they on offer. Highly recommended.

Well pleased with the quality and fit and the price ,of this Gilet.

Bought this as a spare because my husband wears the current one all the time in the cold weather. Didn't want to risk it being out of stock if and when a replacement becomes neccesary. The gilet is comfortable to wear, goes with any colour and is cosy and warm - and looks good!
