Assistant Merchandiser - Tewkesbury
Location: Head Office, Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire
Contract type: Permanent
Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday – Friday (Hybrid working options available)
Salary: $40,700.00 per annum DOE

We are looking for a passionate individual to join the team, to help us grow and shape the exciting journey we are on.
We are seeking a talented Assistant Merchandiser to join our Merchandising team. The role is to support the business growth and managing our relationships with our key partners, to maximise profit and optimise our stock across the business. You will be highly organised, with an eye for detail and strong excel skills.
Your key areas of focus:
- Planning allocation strategies in line with stock and availability/launch requirements.
- The ability to analyse data to gain insights and make recommendations and proposals in line with the current trading plan of the business.
- Manage relationships with key partners and manage our stock across the business to maximise profit.
- Supporting with Markdown and Promotions and analysis.
- Support our Retail estate, managing weekly meetings.
- Monitor and optimise stock holdings in line with company strategy.
- Support managing the logistics process from origin to our distribution centre.
- Provide key analysis and key findings to the merchandise team and run weekly reporting for the business.
What our Shoal needs:
- Ability to analyse and interpret data with strong data integrity and accuracy.
- Take ownership of key tasks and responsibilities, using your initiative.
- Proactive and self driven in learning new skills and processes.
- Very organised with excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise your workload even under tight deadlines.
- Ability to provide concise & relevant feedback as required.
- Ability to develop relationships with appropriate teams both internally & externally.
- Ability to participate within internal meetings to engage on all levels within the Weird Fish team.
- Commercial awareness.
- Proficient in Microsoft office with Excellent Excel skills with the ability to use formula / functions.
- 2 years experience in a Retail Head Office (desirable).

Head of Wholesale - Tewkesbury

We are seeking a talented Head of Wholesale to join our Channel team. You will be responsible for managing our wholesale business and managing our key accounts driving business and profitability through our B2B channel. You will be responsible for an Area Sales team consisting of colleagues and agents.
Your key areas of focus:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive wholesale strategy to achieve sales targets and expand market presence.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities with retailers, distributors, and online platforms.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key wholesale partners to maximise brand exposure and sales.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape, providing insights for strategic decisions.
- Drive sales growth by expanding our presence in new and existing markets, ensuring consistent brand representation.
- Lead and mentor the wholesale team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Work closely with marketing, e-commerce, and product teams to ensure a cohesive approach to market entry and brand messaging.
- Provide regular updates to the board on wholesale activities, market conditions, and growth opportunities.

- Proven experience in a senior wholesale role within the fashion industry.
- Strong understanding of the retail fashion market and trends.
- Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute effective wholesale strategies.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Flexible to travel as needed in the UK and abroad.
- Knowledge and proven experience of growing brands internationally (desirable).
