Honestly I would say that these shorts were not what I was expecting. They were certainly not what I would call 'faded denim' being more like a light blue cotton and also I did not realise they were draw-string waist-maybe I missed that in the description but it wasn't clear from the pictures. So they were returned immediately. In fairness, the returns process is very straightforward

These shorts are great, there aren’t many good pairs of shorts out there for men with an elastic waist. Material is good quality, and they do look smart enough for most summer situations. They sized up a bit smaller than usual for me (usually 36, needed a 34 to fit well). My only slight criticism is the crotch part where the legs join is on the high side so can hit you in the sensitive parts when bending/crouching occasionally. Otherwise it would be 5 stars.

These are quality shorts and 100% cotton, which was important to me. This is not a complaint but think people should be aware that I find Weird Fish products tend to be on the large size, so if your borderline I would suggest going smaller.

I'm around a 38/39 inch waist and these are a really good fit. The material seems to be of good quality, and feels quite soft. The pockets perhaps could be a bit deeper to reduce the risk of a large phone falling out when sat down. Very comfortable.

The last pair of Murrisk Relaxed Casual shorts l bought had very shallow pockets which l resolved by fitting a deeper pocket. This latest pair were fine for pockets but are a good inch longer than the previous ones. It would be helpful if measurements could be given on the website so that we know exactly what we are buying.

My husband has worn 36” shorts for years; these looked ultra comfy (necessary after lockdown), so bought them in usual size. Oh Lordy, they are a huge 36”. I know they say relaxed, but come on... these fall down, legs are huge, across the front they are massive. Easier to relegate them to garden use than send back... should’ve bought a 32” maybe!

For the most part, these shorts are excellent (length, fit, weight of fabric etc), but the pockets are pretty useless. What a shame! The back pocket lacks any fastening (button or similar), while the two front pockets are so shallow (no more than a couple of inches) that they are totally unsuitable for holding items of any value.

Comfortable, material is good and sizing is correct, but pockets are far too shallow! The lowest point of the inside of the pocket is only about 1cm below where the outside of the pocket meets the leg. Nothing will sit comfortably inside without the risk of falling out. When I wear these shorts I have to carry my phone and wallet by hand, or live in constant anxiety that they are going to fall out as I walk or sit. Comfortable, material is good and sizing is correct, but pockets are far too shallow! The lowest point of the inside of the pocket is only about 1cm below where the outside of the pocket meets the leg. Nothing will sit comfortably inside without the risk of falling out. When I wear these shorts I have to carry my phone and wallet by hand, or live in constant anxiety that they are going to fall out as I walk or sit. Small pockets and a relaxed feel with soft material. Ideal casual wear for when its hot or on the beach. They could even be used like swimming trunks but the casual relaxed feel to them make them good for anywhere. They have elasticated waist and a string pull.

Comfortable colourful shorts spoilt a little by useless front pockets which are only an inch deep, front pockets need to be A minimum Of 3 inches deep to be any use otherwise everything falls out all so adding a zip to the rear pocket would be handy for putting your wallet in there for added security. I’m getting my missus to modify the pockets before I wear them again.

Nice well fitting shorts. Faux fly i.e. no zip or buttons. Elasticated waist with additional drawcord is a nice touch. One big negative the side pockets are so shallow that you can just about get your fingers inside, no chance of keeping a phone in them. The back pocket is of regular size. If they hadn't fitted so nicely the side pockets would have been the deal breaker!

Super light, long length close to the knee and I really like the draw string to tie up these shorts rather than the typical button option you get with shorts with a similar look / style. My only concern is the depth of the side pockets. Would prefer them a little deeper for valuables, but the back pocket is PERFECT! Highly recommend.

Good shorts but not as advertised. The pictures show stitching across the legs at the front and two rear pockets. I bought the navy and dark olive. There's no stitching across the front and only one rear pocket. Also, someone mentioned in another review that the side pockets are too shallow to be useful. I'd agree. Having said that, the shorts are well made, good value and I'm pleased with my purchase

If you never use your pockets (even putting your hands in, that feels very odd too) then I'd say buy these. If like most men you like to put your phone, wallet or even hands in, then avoid these!!!

I have purchased these shorts on two separate occasions. They are generous fit, I am usually 34 waist but 32 with these shorts fits best. These shorts are very comfortable. The only negatives are shallow pockets and my first pair have not held their colour. I am unsure if this is after washing or sunlight fade.
