Hero of the Moment 22nd April 2020

April 22, 2020

Our next Hero of the Moment has put his heart and ‘sole’ (see what we did there?) into raising money for the NHS through a true passion of his – music.

David Henderson (or DJ Dav as he’s commonly known) has spent 25 years keeping music fans entertained in packed venues. But with the lockdown put in place, he had to think outside the box.

The Scottish musician, who’s based in Peterhead, decided he could carry on spinning his decks in the comfort of his own home, setting up in his garage to broadcast DJ sets over the internet to fans all over the country. Playing a mix of classic 90s dance and old skool tracks, he’s had hundreds of followers tuning in every Saturday night between 6pm and 9pm to get their music fix.

To make the most of his talents, he’s been encouraging donations in return for his DJ sets and has raised £6,250 over the past four weekends. In fact, he collected £2,100 in one night alone to help provide PPE equipment for NHS staff at Peterhead Hospital.

David is continuing to grace the internet with his banging tunes every Saturday to continue raising money, so what are you waiting for? Join the fin-tastic rave here! https://www.facebook.com/Flowtation01/
