March 11, 2019

Spring has sprung! Just about, if you ignore the odd snow and hail storm. It officially springs into action on the 20th March, and in preparation we have picked out best Spring walks from around the country to inspire you to get out and about this season so you can #WalkTheWeekend

The Ebrington Arms Loop

We kick off with a walk that is close to our hearts as it is based in the Cotswolds and many of the HQ team have completed it themselves. It is a good long stroll at around 7 miles which should take about 3.5 hours, and ends perfectly at the  Ebringhton Arms pub, so you can warm your cockles with a wonderful hot meal, and a cheeky pint if you fancy. A great walk on those days that are crisp but still cold.

Polruan to Polperro

A little challenging, this one is not for the fainthearted. Known as the roller coaster walk, there are a lot of ups and downs on this 7 mile walk. You are rewarded with a beautiful view of the coastline, and an abundance of wildflowers and butterflies. As this is not a circular walk make sure you have plans to get back to where you parked.

Old Harry Rocks

Another Dorset walk, but you really are spoilt for choice on the Jurassic Coastline. The white pillars of Old Harry are a sight to be seen. This walk is a doable length at just over 3 miles, and should take around 1.5 hours, it is nice and easy but warning it can get a bit breezy up top.

Bodmin Moor

Everyone needs to experience the vast expanse that is Bodmin Moor, and this walk has it all. You get a great view of the rolling moors, part of the walk takes you along the River Fowey, and you can park up at the famous Jamaica Inn. Check out the museum to learn all about this intriguing smugglers pub which dates back to 1750. Plus the pub is dog friendly so your furry friends can join you after your long walk.

St Agnes

We had to include a Cornish walk and this one is another great one for dogs as it takes you past Trevaunance Cove where dogs are welcome all year around. Our favourite thing about this walk though is the hedgehog ice creams you can get from the Chapel Porth Cafe , it is ice cream covered in clotted cream then rolled in broken hazelnuts (best to walk after the ice cream to make up for the calorie intake!)

What to wear?

We always suggest layers when heading out on a walk, you never know what the British weather is going to throw at you. Lightweight layers are best so you aren't weighed down, and our new wadded jacket range is perfect for this. We have a jacket or gilet option for men and women, plus they are currently on offer, winner!
