A great app for those not ready to take the plunge and pay for a fitness plan or app. Fit On is the #1 free fitness app, offering a range of workouts for varying abilities including, cardio workouts, HIIT workouts, yoga and more. You can personalise your workout routine and pick from a range of challenges to tackle. This app is versatile and is available on a variety of screening platforms, from your phone, tablet, laptop or TV.
Body App by Blogilates
The number one female fitness channel on YouTube not only provides free content on the platform, create new monthly workout plans, but she also has her own fitness app. From yoga videos with the YouTube stars Yogi instructor sister, Jackelyn Ho, Pilates workouts with actress and active life fanatic Julianne Hough and quick easy workouts you can do in those spare 10 minutes at home. Cassey Ho’s Blogilates app features a challenge progress bar so when taking part in her weekly, daily or monthly challenges you can see what % of the challenge you’ve completed, to help keep you motivated.
You can filter your workouts depending on the part of the body you want to work or the type of workout you fancy, whether that is an abs, arms, back or bum workout, cardio, total body or a relaxing stretch!
A large majority of the workouts require no equipment meaning you can enjoy your workouts on wherever you are, the adventure awaits!

Map my Run
Great for seasoned and beginners alike, Map my Run is a fitness app by Under Armour Fitness that helps you track your runs. It tracks your time, pace, cadence and even your average stride length, meaning you can monitor your progress and see where you may want to improve. Despite being called Map my Run, the app can be used for a range of exercises such as walking and cycling, you can log your routes and also give other local users routes ago too! The app allows you to see your progress day by day, week by week from calories burnt, average pace and total distance. You can set goals and take part in challenges, meaning you can tailor Map my Run for you, your goals and your needs. There is a fun feature in which you can add photos and text to each activity once you have completed it, creating a log you can look back over in days, weeks, months or years to come and see how far you’ve come!
Couch to 5k
Couch to 5K is an NHS approved app that was developed by Josh Clarke who was a new runner and wanted to help his 50-something mum get off the couch and into those running shoes! The plan suggests doing three runs per week with a rest day in between, and a different schedule for each of the 9 weeks. The app is designed to get you started and guide you along the way, from the advice in-app running technique tips, pre-workout meal advice and the actual running guide, you get a lot from this totally free app!
Make running social with Strava. Strava is an app designed to create a community of cyclists and runners, you can connect with your friends and see their activity and give ‘kudos’ on each-others activity, which is a nice way to encourage each other to continue running or cycling. In the ‘Explore’ section you can stay motivated by taking part in challenges, join clubs with other like minded athletes and even compete with yourself and friends. We love that you can register for virtual events such as the Volvo Cars Brooklyn Half Marathon! In your ‘Profile’ area you can see your weekly activity in KM, the time and the elevation (m) as well as the routes you have run or cycled, your posts on your progress, statistics and more! There is plenty to keep you busy and motivated in Strava.

An app designed by Thor himself, Chris Hemsworth’s fitness app Centr Fit is a paid fitness and food plan app that offers a free trial.
