Weird Fish to go the distance for The RSPB
Weird Fish staff members are signed up to run the Cheltenham half marathon on Sunday September 27 to raise funds for The Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB).
Naomi Hill and Stuart Hancocks from Cheltenham-based Weird Fish have been aware of their local race for a while, but felt this was their year to get involved. They are currently training for the race, which starts and finishes in Pittville Park.
Weird Fish has been in partnership with The RSPB since January when a collaborative, limited edition Lord of the Wings t-shirt was launched – of which £9 from each sale went directly to the charity. The clothing company has so far contributed £16,000 to the RSPB and Naomi and Stuart hope to add to the funds raised with sponsorship for the half marathon.
Naomi Hill, PR co-ordinator at Weird Fish, said: “Stuart and I have very different fitness backgrounds, but we are both excited about the challenge that lies ahead.”
